Classic Banana Bread

 

Classic banana bread is a moist and flavorful quick bread that is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. It is made with ripe bananas, flour, sugar, eggs, oil, baking soda, and salt.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the flour, sugar, eggs, oil, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of granulated sugar.
  • To add a touch of sweetness, add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter.
  • To make the bread ahead of time, bake the bread and then let it cool completely. Wrap the bread tightly in plastic wrap and store it at room temperature for up to 3 days.
