Classic Pancakes

  5. Grease the skillet or griddle with butter or cooking spray.
  6. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot skillet or griddle for each pancake.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as butter, syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use buttermilk in place of the milk.
  • To make the pancakes ahead of time, cook them and then let them cool completely. Stack the pancakes with wax paper between each layer and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, reheat the pancakes in a 250-degree F (120-degree C) oven for 10-15 minutes.
