Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs is a delicious and hearty dish that is perfect for a family meal. It is made with simple ingredients, such as spaghetti, meatballs, tomato sauce, and Parmesan cheese.

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1-inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package directions.
  7. In a large saucepan, combine the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
  8. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the tomato sauce.
  9. Stir to combine.
  10. Serve the spaghetti and meatballs immediately, topped with Parmesan cheese.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use Italian sausage in place of some or all of the ground beef.
  • To make the meatballs ahead of time, bake them and then let them cool completely. Wrap the meatballs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, reheat the meatballs in a 350-degree F (175-degree C) oven for 10-15 minutes.
